ZINC ELECTROPLATING

A treatment widely used in the finishing of metal parts for the most varied sectors, zinc electroplating effectively protects metal surfaces from wear. The Zincoplating company in Moncalieri, not far from Turin, which has been active in the field of plating treatments since 1993, carries out this special processing technique which has been shown to be able to ensure more than satisfactory surface protection and at low cost compared with coatings made of the finest materials.

Protective coatings for metals

Application of a zinc-based coating on a metal artefact, usually of steel, makes it possible to effectively counter the phenomenon of plating corrosion: through an electrochemical process, the less noble zinc protects steel, or iron, acting as a sacrificial anode in the electrochemical reaction. This process thus permits lengthening the service life of mechanical components subjected to heavy duty processing, or exposed to contact with harsh chemicals.

Treatments with 99% pure zinc

Zincoplating is specialised in particular in zinc electroplating, an alkaline process that obtain a perfect, uniform coating of surfaces, with maximum adhesion and low thickness. The treatment is based on the application of cyanide-free zinc alkaline, free of potentially harmful chemicals for health. Excellent performance is guaranteed by the use of 99.9% pure zinc, with the addition of chromic passivation trivalent. Available in the variants iridescent, white or black.
